Signing Government PDF Documents

Overview

This article will show how to sign a Government PDF Document with Adobe Reader if Acrobat Pro is unavailable. Adobe Reader can be downloaded and installed from https://get.adobe.com/reader/.

 

Installing Adobe Reader on an Apple MacBook Pro

  1. Connect to a personal or private internet network (not iKaiser/Kaiser). We will be using the KP SOM Research network in this example.
  2. Open Safari
  3. Navigate to https://get.adobe.com/reader/ and download Adobe Reader
  4. Install the dmg file once the download is complete by double-clicking on the file

Filling out Government PDF with Adobe Reader

  1. Start Adobe Reader, click File, Open, then locate your PDF.
  2. Fill out the Form

Printing out the form for signature 

  1. Some forms can only be signed by printing out the form
  2. After completing the form. You must print out the completed PDF and sign it. File -> Print
  3. Once the form is signed and complete. You may scan it back to your email with a printer with scanning capability on-premise (e.g., CSSOM-02-PRINTROOM 1-STU located on the 2nd floor across from SOM IT Technology Bar)
