Mural: How to share a Mural workspace for Collaboration

Overview

Did you know that users don't need to have a Mural account/license to collaborate on your Mural workspace?

This article will walk you through the steps on how to share your Mural workspace.

Sharing a Mural Workspace

  1. Open Mural - https://app.mural.co
  2. Sign in to your account and select the Mural you'd like to share
  3. Select "Share"

  4. A share pop-up will appear; select "Manage access and settings"

  5. The Access and Settings page will appear; under "Visitor Link Access", select the drop-down arrow and select "Can Edit"

(Please note: You have the option to set a visitor password or add an expiration date to the shared link)

    CAUTION!

Visitors will not be able to make any edits or changes if the visitor link access is set to "Can View

  6. Once you are happy with the settings of your Mural, select the "back arrow"

  7. Then select "Copy Link" and share the link through Teams, Outlook, or your desired communication method.

  8. Once the visitor clicks on the link, they will be directed to Mural. They should select "Enter Mural as a Visitor"

  9. Lastly, the visitor will be prompted to create a "Visitor Display Name". Once they select "Enter as a visitor," they will have access to the shared Mural.

Time to let the collaboration begin!

Potential issues

If the end user sees the following: View only, Log in to edit, or Log in/Sign up for free, that means that the share settings were not updated on the Mural Workspace prior to sharing the link.

To fix the issue, please repeat steps 3 through 9.
