Applicant FAQ
Q: The applicant said they sent their letter of reference in, but it's not in AMP yet, why?
A: Each letter has to be processed and verified by AMCAS. Sometimes the processing for letters can lag a bit. Please allow sufficient time when waiting for letters, unless you are not seeing any come in at all.
Q: How do I update my email address or contact information?
A: You should update your email address or contact information in AMCAS. We will pull down all of your data, including changes to the data from AMCAS. Admissions will see the updates within AMP in 1 day.
Q: My Create Account link is not working.
A: Be sure to use the Create Account link that is hyperlinked within the word “here” from your secondary invitation email, other links within that email are to be used for logging in after you have created your account.
Q: I’m not getting the email from AMP when I try to generate a Password.
A: Does their email address match what is listed as Permanent Email in AMP? Are they using their 8 digit AMCAS ID as the Username? Have they checked their junk/spam folder? Have they added mdadmissions@kp.org.
Q: I’m not getting the Forgot Password email from AMP.
A: Did they log into AMP initially If not, they will need to use the create Account link to set up the Password. Does their email address match what is listed as Permanent Email in AMP? Are they using their 8 digit AMCAS ID as the Username? Have they checked their junk/spam folder? Have they added mdadmissions@kp.org.
Q: I do not know what username to put into the Create Account link.
A: Your username will always be your 8 digit AMCAS ID.
Q: The token I get to create my password is not working.
A: Every time the Generate Password button is used, it will send you an email with a token. If you hit it more than once, it will send more than 1 email and only the latest token is useable. You must also use the token within 1 hour of its creation. Please use the button once, and wait for the email to come in to use the token. If the email takes longer than an hour to come in, please contact admissions.
Faculty FAQ
Q: MY NUID works, but it’s showing a blank page when I log in?
A: Their NUID is not in the correct group within KP, someone at KP will need to add them into the group that AMP uses, and then it should work.
Q: When I login with my NUID it appears that the credentials worked but then it sends me back to the Login Page?
A: Is their account deactivated in AMP? An Admin can check this under the Faculty tab.
Q: My NUID credentials are not working.
A: They will need to reset their NUID Password via the KP website.
