The Crestron tablet is the touchscreen control panel mounted in classrooms and conference rooms. Use it to control what appears on the room's screens, switch between input sources, and start or stop a lecture recording.
This guide describes each screen on the tablet so you know what you're looking at and what each button does. You don't need to log in or enter a PIN to use the tablet.
Home Screen
The Home Screen is the starting point for every session. From here you choose whether to present a source to the room's displays or capture a session for recording. Tap Present to display content without recording, or tap Capture to start a lecture recording.
Present Mode
Use Present Mode when you want to display a source, such as your laptop or a document camera, on the room's screens without recording. Tap a source icon to switch the display to that input immediately.
Capture Mode: Status
The Status screen shows whether a recording is currently running, paused, or stopped. Check this screen before you begin presenting to confirm the room is ready to capture your session, and check it again during class to confirm the recording is active.
Capture Mode: Source Selection
The Source Selection screen lets you choose what gets recorded. Tap a source icon to switch between the document camera, laptop input, or a wireless screen share. The highlighted icon shows which source is currently being recorded.
Capture Mode: Camera
The Camera screen lets you control the room camera during a recording. Use the on-screen controls to pan, tilt, or zoom the camera, or to switch between saved camera presets if your room has them.
