The Sectra Table is a large touchscreen anatomy visualization table located in the Anatomy Resource Center. This guide will help you get started with powering it on, navigating the interface, and using basic touch commands.
1. Power Table ON/OFF
The computer should automatically power on when you flip the main switch. It can take a minimum of 2 minutes to completely launch Windows.
Important: If the table is powered off with the main switch, wait a minimum of 60 seconds before attempting to power it on again.
Unlock the Home Screen
Swipe up with one finger from the bottom black border into the display proper, then select User > Sign In.
Preferences may be set to auto-login to User on power-on. Use SuperUser for admin access for software updates, password management, etc.
Shut Down or Restart
Swipe up from the bottom black border into the display proper—the taskbar will appear. Select the Windows icon, then the Power icon, then select Restart or Shut Down.
Important: If the computer is shut down, the table should also be powered off using the main switch. Wait 60 seconds before powering the table on again.
Sleep Mode
The computer automatically goes into Sleep mode. Wake it by swiping your hand across the display. It can take a minimum of 10 seconds to wake up. Sleep settings can be changed by SuperUser.
2. Adjust Table Height and Tilt
On the underside/backside of the table, find the control pad and push the cycle icon to select table tilt or height adjustment, then use the arrows to adjust.
Note: Functionality reverts from tilt to height adjustment after extended non-use.
3. Access Windows Taskbar and On-Screen Keyboard
Reveal the taskbar by swiping up from the bottom black border into the display proper, then find the keyboard icon on the far-right side of the taskbar and tap it.
Note: If a USB keyboard and mouse are plugged in, the functionality of the touch screen keyboard may change.
4. View and Switch Between Desktops or Applications
From the left border of the table, use one finger to swipe right into the display proper. All open desktops and application windows will be visible—tap to select.
5. Desktop Icons
Double-tap an icon to open it. Available icons:
- Notepad icon (EPlogin.txt) — contains login credentials for IDS7/Education Portal
- VH Dissector Table Beta icon — opens VH Dissector application
- Education Portal icon — opens Education Portal application
6. Access the Education Portal
- Double-tap the Notepad icon to view login credentials.
- Double-tap the Education Portal icon to launch the application.
- Type your login credentials into the User ID and Password fields and log in.
7. Basic Finger Commands
Here are the essential touch gestures you'll use on the Sectra Table:
- Scroll 2D image stacks
- Four fingers, swipe up or down
- Zoom IN/OUT
- Pinch or spread with fingers
- Translate (move) stacks
- One finger, drag in any direction
- Rotate 3D
- One finger, swipe left or right
- Double-tap
- Enlarges/reduces a 2D image, or changes center of rotation point on a 3D image
Tip: When scrolling or translating, keep your fingers spread far apart for better control.
